Reviews for The Serra Rooftop Cafe
Review highlights
Based on 733 reviewsThe Serra Rooftop Cafe in Salt Lake Sector V is widely appreciated for its charming ambiance and scenic rooftop views, making it a favored spot for couples and small groups. The café is noted for its cozy, well-decorated setting with a full air-conditioned duplex layout, although space constraints, especially on the rooftop, can lead to a cramped experience. Guests consistently praise the diverse and flavorful menu, highlighting dishes like chicken, seafood, and continental offerings, alongside a rich coffee selection. Exceptional service and attentive staff further enhance the dining experience. While the intimate seating limits larger group comfort, the combination of quality food, inviting atmosphere, and rooftop vistas solidifies its appeal among patrons seeking a refined yet casual dining experience.
We had an awesome time having lunch at this beautifully decorated rooftop café. This is a full AC duplex café where the topmost floor is having couple seats only. 3 people can seat but it can get congested depending on your order. Groups having 3+ members can seat below. But you won't be able to enjoy the rooftop view. Let's come to food, we ordered the following: 1. Corn Cheese Chicken Chowder - Tasty thick creamy chicken soup, very filling. (Price - Rs. 210) 2. Prawn Tempura - If you are trying this dish for the first time, then you will love it. But we had better. They serve 6 pcs. Also price wise, this is costly. (Price - Rs. 575) 3. Bacon Wrapped Cheesy chicken - 5 small pcs of chicken in cheese with bacon wrapped. Loved the taste. (Price - Rs. 399) 4. Alfredo Spaghetti Non veg - Chicken Spaghetti Paste with a garlic bread was really good. (Price - Rs. 375) 5. Chingri Malai Curry with Steamed Rice - Superb in taste, our authentic Bengali dish will truly make your mouth watery. Had 6-8 small pcs and also comes with Jhuro Alubhaja. The quantity of rice was not even for 1 person, so you will need to order for a separate portion of rice. (Price - Rs. 599) 6. Extra portion of steamed rice - This portion was enough for 2 people but cost was a lot. (Price - Rs. 199) 7. Arabian Bean Coffee Chocolate Monte Carlo - This dessert was really good. Ice cream inside with cakey texture on outside was a real hit. Also, the price was reasonable. (Price - Rs. 225). Overall, taste wise this café is really good but cost and quantity wise, its not worth it. Would suggest you to go for a nice rooftop view and to munch on to some snacks. Please be aware they also serve Hookah.
The good part is food it is really tasty. The sad part is due to rooftop rules the place is really cramped up. Mutton n garlic naan was perfect. We enjoyed the lemon fish starter as well.
This café is small but charming, with excellent service. The staff are polite and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The food is delicious—especially the pasta and the stir-fried noodles, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It's a paradise for coffee lovers, offering a rich and intense coffee experience. The only downside is that the space feels quite cramped, but aside everything was spot on.
Had a fantastic experience at Serra Café, Salt Lake Sec V! The ambiance is cozy and inviting — great for both casual catch-ups and quiet meals. We tried the Bacon-Wrapped Chicken and the Gondhoraj Lemon Fish — both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Special thanks to Prosen, our server, for his outstanding service. He was polite, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout. Highly recommend Serra Café for anyone looking for great food, lovely atmosphere, and genuinely warm hospitality!
Best part about this cafe is the view of entire sector 5. Ambience is great with light music. Clean washroom. Foods are delicious and really good for couples.
Went on the eve of Poila Boisakh and was totally amazed by the Atmosphere. The Restaurant is situated on the 9th floor. Rooftop is totally Glass covered along with full AC. So anyone can enjoy the food with scenic beauty. It was decorated with Flowers and plants which look amazing. We took a Bengali Buffet and it was nice. The food items are good if not great, from starters to main course. The sitting arrangement for the main course was not good. It got too crowded due to lack of space. The place for the starter and main course was on a different floor which we don't like. They should provide all items in the same place. The behaviour was okayish. One of the serving staff's attitude is not good as he didn't listen to us properly as he was not a Bengali. If you want to visit please keep this in your mind. The owner must look into this matter.
